about

“John Ruskin – Shooting Star” is the second single from the EP “Leaver”. The text is a quote from the great English art historian, mentor of the Pre-Raphaelites. The song has contaminations from metal to postrock. The second part (“Shooting Star”) is instead sung in hopelandic, the language of verses, invented by the Sigur Ros. The cover is by Letizia Carrattini. The two faces were interpreted by Riccardo Prencipe, author of the song and art historian, as the masculine and feminine after the separation.

lyrics

John Ruskin – Shooting Star

Taste, inside, is the only morality

Please, tell me what you like
And I’ll tell you what you are

Please, tell me what you like
And I’ll tell you what you are

Please, tell me what you like
And I’ll tell you what you are
